We primarily use Jeuveau and Daxxify, and there isn’t one that’s automatically “best” for everyone. If you’ve previously had Botox and loved your result, I may recommend Jeuveau, which is another botulinum toxin type A treatment and can be a great option for patients familiar with that type of result. Daxxify is formulated differently and uses a proprietary peptide-based stabilizer. I may consider it depending on your facial movement, the lines that bother you and the type of result you’re hoping for. The most important thing? You don’t need to know which one you need before you come in. Tell me whether you want very little movement, something softer and more expressive, or what you’ve loved—or disliked—about previous treatments. From there, I’ll assess your facial movement and recommend the approach that makes the most sense for you.

Most patients are surprised by how comfortable microneedling actually is.

Before we begin, I apply a prescription-strength numbing cream and allow it to sit for approximately 20–30 minutes. This helps make the treatment much more comfortable.

You may still feel some pressure, vibration or mild sensitivity in certain areas, but most of my patients tolerate the treatment very well.
